The University of Salford has a global reach, but also a history that is firmly embedded in the industrial past of Greater Manchester. The University community encompasses over 23,000 students, 2500 staff and 170,000 alumni who come to study, teach and research in Salford from all around the world. With industry-focused research the University is transforming lives through education and research or working with partners to address major challenges like poverty, homelessness, low carbon and health innovation. The University will lead on the detailed development of the monitoring requirements for the project, including a data sharing protocol that will comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (May 2018). They will also develop a comprehensive monitoring package for those properties that undergo a deep retrofit and those with Heat Pumps implemented. The University will provide data analysis to ensure properties are behaving as expected post installation.
In addition, an element of ‘consumer insight’ will be included within this Work Package. Delivered in two phases, this component will test tenants experience pre and post installation and overall customer satisfaction.
